Git cheatsheet

Seeing commit between two dates:

git rev-list --count --since="Apr 15 2020"  --before="May 4 2020" --all

Seeeing commint on user basic and dates:

git shortlog -sne --since="01 Jan 2020" --before="01 Aug 2020" #for present branch
git shortlog -sne --since="01 Jan 2020" --before="01 Aug 2020" --all #for all branch

To remove a submodule you need to:

git submodule deinit <path_to_submodule>
git rm <path_to_submodule>
git commit-m "Removed submodule "
rm -rf .git/modules/<path_to_submodule>

Create SSH RSA key

ssh-keygen -m PEM -t rsa -b 4096

Delete backups after 7 days

find /var/opt/backups/ -type f -mtime +7 -name '*.tar' -delete
